Aircraft - Onboard Video Example
Seeing video and
telemetry matching to provide real-time flight control

Click for larger images
.Notice the GPS plot
showing the plane flying over the satellite map. Then
compare this to the onboard video, and see how the road is
visible onboard, and from a 'sky view' looking down. In
fact the soccer goals are visible in both pictures!!
Note: To
actually VIEW data and the GPS-TEAM software at the same time on
the same screen, you will need the ability to play video on a
window on your PC. Many laptops have this. The
images here are composites - i.e. the video and the GPS data are
overlaid after the fact.

Here the plane readies for takeoff.
Onboard a 2.4Ghz video transmitter and the
900mhz spread spectrum telemetry from STXe
is streaming data to the base station. |

Here we have a turn right. Alt is
about 79ft, speed about 30. All
information about flight is available. |
|
| |

And, landing the plane. Notice the
STXe data is showing an alt of 2.8ft.
JUST about down! |

Here a composite shows the wealth of
data available from STXe. Onboard receiver battery
voltage, temperature, reported GPS alt, barometric alt,
pressure in Mb, satellites used in the position fix,
Lat/Long, range to unit, course, etc. |
